Reclaim The Streets is on Saturday June 19 in Melbourne.

This RTS is the first big one not organised by
StreetsForPeople/FriendsOfTheEarth and is in an experiment in
co-operation with cops.
Doesn't that defy the whole purpose of RTS?
Should was call it "CanWeUseTheFootPathPlease" instead?
Actually, it may be an intelligent move since
a) It is on a Saturday for once & we may not have numbers to do the
   usual will-of-the-people thing
b) The cops will already be freaked by the previous day's j18 mayhem
c) Will be a chance to get a wider range of the public involved.

In future, with support/numbers consolidated we should be able to hold it
wherever *the*people* damn well please
(not where those few that pretend to represent the people want us to).
The stage will be set for y2k j18 to coincide with RTS for
an event that might change Melbourne forever.

NB This year RTS is the day *after* June18,
which is the day it happens elsewher on the globe;
(remember that there is an international date line).

Nobody "owns" the RTS banner (tho FOE tried telling RatLab otherwise!)
and in fact it seems that the international j18 thing is
socialists making RTS to look to the casual observer as
having been their idea all along.
Ya gotta love the anarchy :)
