What is "live" anyhow?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stevie Wonder attitude to live (and especially improvised) music sums it up.
He says it leaves room for God to walk through the room.
ie it allows for mystical moments of brilliance that cannot be
reproduced in a laboratory or playback of a MIDI file etc.
If we sound like religious zealots, you are right.
You either experience the mystical or you don't. We're not arguing.
The only other established live *improvised* electronic acts in Melbourne,
Australia, that we know of are:
  Orac, signal-to-noise, TR-Storm (sometimes),
  Zen Paradox (sometimes?)
  Voiteck says he does but I doubt it.
Please email us if you think there are others we have missed.
There is a tendency in Melb. to *mix* (prepared stuff) live and call it "live".
This approach can sometimes be just as involved a task,
but it is *necessarily* failsafe
(and hence only allows for some of God's angels to peek through
the window of the said room :).
