I kept having conflits, PC took long to find the device and the **** took toooooooo long to connect: My solution: 1> Copied the folder called DRIVERS in "c:\program files\Huawei" 2> Formatted and re-installed XP Sp2. 3> Connected the device, unistall "USB Storage Device" from Device Manager. 4> Unplug and replug device and then driver wizzard comes up. 5> Point to the DRIVERS folder you backed up. Poiint to the folder both times the wizzard appears. 7> Set the APN in advanced properties of modem. 6> Create a normal windows dialup connection and you sorted! No more rubbish auto running software. Device is picked up within 10 seconds. Connects within 5 seconds. Its running beautifully! If you wish to monitor signal strength etc...you can use the app by ginggs: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=59080 Download: http://www.tintin.za.net/e620tool10013.zip I use the app now and then and works great with above method ;) Hope it helps someone having trouble with the **** dashboards!
