High-tech industries, it was claimed, were non-polluting, had the potential to generate huge wealth, and could offer opportunities across the social and cultural divides. That was the theory. The reality, however, has been quite different. According to the two guests for this discussion, high-tech industries are some of the most toxic in the world.
