Farmers all around the world are committing suicide, 
and it is not uncommon in Australia. 
However, the suicide rate of farmers in India, both men and woman, 
who are so crushed by circumstances beyond their control, is increasing.

P. Sainath has spent years covnering the Indian countryside and 
he's been described as one of the world's greatest experts on famine and hunger.

He discusses the ongoing situation for farmers, and 
the huge disparity between poverty and prosperity in India.
