If you believe music is the highest of the artforms, read on.
If you understand the lyrics of UltraVox's QuietMen, read on.
If you understand the lyrics of Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence, read on.

The Quiet space is the antithesis of Doof. It first appeared
NewYear 1997/98 as a ConFest village at a time when Doof at ConFest
was very controversial (in fact maybe the last full-on doof?).
Easter ConFest 1998 it was incorporated in the Hybrid Village.
The last QuietSpace was a room at PsyCoroboree Thursday May 21st 1998.

QuietSpace is area set aside for the REAL MUSICIANS out there:
those who believe that words are innefficent and clumsy for communication.
Quiet Space is not necessarily silence - merely no words.

Those wishing to express themselves through whistles and squawks or
whatever will be free to do so (Hello Spontaneous Choir :).
It will hopefully make it easier, outside the Quiet Space,
to listen to English conversation as music rather than words and syntax.

Formal workshops will be held... in mind-reading (Psy Power) at PsyCoroboree just as they were at ConFest.

Many people object to generalisations.
The English dictionary is nothing but a catalogue of generalisations.
Experience real communication. Experience Quiet Space.
