The Notorious Byrd Brothers
Crosby fought for the inclusion of
his controversial Triad,
even for 1967 a risqué song
about a ménage à trois.
He eventually gave the tune
to Jefferson Airplane,
who included a version on
their 1968 album Crown of Creation.
The Byrds did record Triad
but refused to release it at the time,
the track surfacing officially
on the band's box set of 1990,
but eventually added to the album
via the 1997 reissue.

Peaking at #26 on the pop music charts in 1976 was "Anarchy in The UK" accompanied by an uproar in the media and ushering in the DIY age of music. Fast forward to the night of the London Riots when Cher Lloyd headed for #1 in the UK charts with the chorus "Count that money, get your game up". Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren considered Anarchy in the UK "a call to arms to the kids who believe that rock and roll was taken away from them. It's a statement of self rule, of ultimate independence." Cher Lloyd's career OTOH was ushered in by the X-Factor and iPhones.

Swedish track mixed with Swiss. "Glömd" is Swedish for "forgotten". Live DJ mix with Traktor 2.0.1. No edits (apart from one cut). One source was at 192kbps, the other at 256kbps.

Only 5-10 seconds of each song is used throughout. Starts with Confusion which gets FUBAR into a couple of looping effect sounds that continue throughout while Genius of Love gets the dub treatment. Confusion comes back in as a rhythm at 4:11.

Neil Young's harmonica has been cut up and rearranged into a new melody. In this mashup I explore culture's progress from the age of acoustic through to psychedelia to grunge to glitch. Google does not reveal 3EB explicitly crediting Bowie for the guitar riff they "borrow" and so I have taken the liberty of doing it for them. Surprising since they share several social connections... Bowie & 3EB have toured with the same session drummer Atma Anur . When asked in an interview for drDrew.com : "What was your most memorable celebrity encounter?" 3EB's Stephan Jenkins replied: "At a recent show, David Bowie was standing off to the side of the stage watching us. I bugged the fuck out. I was so thrilled because we're all huge fans."
